Individual Therapy
Have you ever wondered what therapy is like?
Does it really work?
Can talking to someone really help?
I know what it is like to have several questions run through your mind when you’re thinking about trying therapy or a new therapist. I have also had similar thoughts and worries about therapy. Through my own experience, I have been able to create a space that I feel can be healing for others.
Therapy allows for you to process your thoughts in a safe, confidential, and collaborative space to help you overcome the emotional blocks that are keeping you from living the life that you want to live. Therapy is an important decision that you’re making because you’re taking the time to take care of yourself. Sometimes, it seems to be easier to take care of others than ourselves. The truth is we cannot truly help and care for others if we are not caring for ourselves first.
“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”
The hardest part is taking that first step
but I am here to give you the support and space you need to begin the therapeutic process.
I utilized several different interventions which include; Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Client –Centered Therapy, and Systems Therapy which have all been effective in treating a wide range of mental health issues including; anxiety, depression, anger, substance-use, impulsivity, negative thoughts, relationships problems and more.
Therapy has no timeline because it is individualized to meet the individual’s needs so the length of therapy is dependent on you.
